Mayor’s Office launches One-Stop Shop

The Office of the Mayor has set up shop in Los Baños—the kind that’s different from your usual.

The One-Stop Licensure Shop for business establishments, launched last January 2, aims to help business owners get their 2012 licenses and working permits fast: in 30 minutes or less.

Located at the Paciano Rizal Covered Court, the shop serves every business owner from the 14 barangays of Los Baños. Different booths are designated to facilitate a quick-flowing procedure – one for every step in the process.

Inside the shop one will find several station, such as this one manned by Mr. Rod Galang (who is also the coordinator of the project).

The project is the spearheaded by the Municipal Treasurer’s Office in cooperation with  the Engineering, Sanitary, and Fire and Planning and Development departments.

Local Revenue Collection Officer Nilo Galsin explained how easy the procedure is. “Basta kumpleto ang requirements nila, mabilis na ang proseso dahil nandito na lahat ng pupuntahan nila (As long as their requirements are complete, the process will be fast as all the concerned offices are already there.)”

Jennisa V. Olea, a bookkeeper, was impressed with the quick service when she renewed her business license.  “Nawala yung hassle ng pagpunta punta sa mga offices. Yung dalawa o tatlong linggo na proseso ay pwedeng tapusin sa isa o dalawang oras na lang (The hassle of going to different offices has been eliminated. Instead of weeks, I can complete the process in just  an hour or two).”

Before the launching of the shop, the municipal office launched a massive public campaign in the town. This service will last until January 20, 2012 with a possible two to three day extension.

So if you’re a business owner looking to get their permit as quickly and easily as ordering a box of pizza, head over to the Paciano Rizal Covered Court.
