The vaccination drive was conducted in three locations in Batong Malake. One in barangay hall, University of the Philippines Los Baños’ (UPLB) College of Forestry, and at the Boy Scouts of the Philippines (BSP) Jamboree site at the upper campus of the university. This drive was made possible with the cooperation of UPLB’s College of Veterinary Medicine (CVM) and the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Barangay Batong Malake.

Dr. Leila Flores, a faculty of the college, said that the drive was conducted following their month-long activities of Preventive Medical Check-up and Free Anti-Rabies Vaccination held last February at the Vet Teaching Hospital in their college. The drive was also conducted as part of the completion of the clinical internship of senior students from CVM.

For future activities, she said that their college is planning to conduct a spay/neuter event next September 2018. For more information about the barangay’s activities, you can contact them through their Facebook account.
