Upang matugunan ang paglaki ng populasyon ng mga ligaw na aso’t pusa, idinaos ang Free Spay and Castration sa Tanggapan ng Pambayang Agrikultor, Munisipalidad ng Los Baños noong ika-27 ng Marso, ganap na ikawalo ng umaga. Ang programa ay pinangunahan ng Livestock sector ng Tanggapan ng Pambayang Agrikultor, kasama ang mga eksperto mula sa Office of the Provincial Veterinarian (OPV).

#BitB: Battling HIV-AIDS Stigma with Mobile Game

Mobile gaming app Battle in the Blood (#BitB) developers and advocates visited the University of the Philippines Los Baños last April 2-4, 2019 to present a different take on solving the epidemic that threatens the country: HIV-AIDS. The group also conducted a series of talks in partnership with different student organizations in the university to further discuss the topic.

#BitB popularizes HIV-AIDS by simulating the user as a customizable warrior, using genderfluid elements, battling HIV monsters. The player solves multiple levels of puzzles while receiving related information such as health care, treatment, and testing. Continue reading

Upang matugunan ang paglaganap ng rabies sa pamamagitan ng wastong pangangalaga ng hayop, isinagawa ang Responsible Pet Ownership and Rabies Seminar sa Brgy. Batong Malake noong April 6, 2019 mula ika-9 hanggang ika-11 ng umaga. Pinangunahan ito ng mga estudyante ng National Service Training Program (NSTP) Civil Welfare Training Service (CWTS) ng University of the Philippines Los Banos (UPLB) College of Veterinary Medicine (CVM). Dumalo sa seminar ang 20 kabataan at residente mula sa Batong Malake.
