Another suspect in Peñaranda case nabbed

Nineteen-year old Tyronne Kennedy “Kenneth” Terbio, one of the suspects in the killing of UPLB student Ray Bernard Peñaranda, surrendered today at around 8:00 pm. Terbio is currently being detained at Camp Crame, Quezon City.

Joseph Beltran, a suspect who was captured earlier this week, positively identified Terbio as the one who stabbed Peñaranda.

Suspects in Peñaranda case identified; UPLB frat denies culprits’ alleged membership

MARCH 7, 2012 – The Laguna Provincial Police Office (PPO) has released the names of the three suspects in the murder of Ray Bernard Peñaranda. They are:

  • Tyronne Kennedy Terbio (a.k.a. Kenneth)
  • Carl Dactil de Guzman (a.k.a. Dactil)
  • Joseph Beltran (a.k.a. Sebo)

Beltran, who acted as lookout during the crime, is now in police custody. He was arrested last night, and he identified the two other suspects. Continue reading

One dead in stabbing

MARCH 4, 2012—A man was killed this afternoon in a stabbing incident behind the Los Baños Doctors Hospital (LBDH).

The victim was indentified as a 32 year-old resident of Batong Malake. He and his brother, 38 years old, got into an argument outside their house at around 4:30PM, and the former was stabbed. Police arrested the suspect 15 minutes later. The victim died of a stab wound to his left chest.

This case marks the fourth major crime and third murder in Los Baños this past week.
